*Lost Love* (*原子力戦争*, *Genshiryoku sensô*) is a 1978 Japanese film directed by Kazuo Kuroki. The story unfolds in a coastal town that has been transformed by the construction of a nuclear power plant. The bodies of Nozomi Aoba, the daughter of a wealthy family, and Yamazaki, the son of an engineer at the plant, are found on the shore, initially believed to be a double suicide. A local reporter, Nogami, investigates the case, uncovering a web of secrets and corruption involving the nuclear industry. The film delves into themes of environmental issues, corporate malfeasance, and the complexities of human relationships. It is based on Soichiro Tahara's novel and was produced by the Art Theatre Guild, known for its avant-garde cinema.
