Initially typecast in "guy next door" roles, the handsome Holden shot quickly to stardom as a leading man doing a variety of genres. Holden gathered major attention for his roles in war dramas and plenty of Oscar® attention for his stunning performances. But not to be forgotten are his classic Western roles, too. Here is a triple dose of his rugged self showing how he rode high and mighty in the films of the Old West. A California-bound traveler ultimately doubles back to help the feisty pioneer woman he met on his way who’s struggling with two villains trying to take over her cattle ranch in Arizona (Jean Arthur. 1940/121 min).
