*Top Secret!* (*1984*) is a musical spy parody film directed by Jim Abrahams, David Zucker, and Jerry Zucker, collectively known as the ZAZ trio. The film stars Val Kilmer in his feature film debut as Nick Rivers, an American rock 'n' roll singer who becomes embroiled in a World War II espionage plot in East Germany. The movie is a spoof of both Elvis Presley musicals and spy thrillers, filled with rapid-fire gags, visual puns, and absurd humor. Despite its initial box office disappointment, *Top Secret!* has since gained a cult following for its inventive comedy and Kilmer's charismatic performance.
