DESCRIPTION:

Beautiful soft-core cult princess Christina Lindberg plays a young woman who lost her innocence at a tragically early age in a brutal sexual assault that left her mute for life. She grows up working on a remote farm, but when she misses her bus one day, she is picked up by an appealingly dapper man who drugs her and forces her into a life of prostitution, addiction, and subjugation. When she rebels, her pimp retaliates by gouging out her eye; her last straw is her parents' death, inciting her to seek vengeance. Training as a martial artist and accustoming herself to firearms, she becomes a singleminded killing machine as she extracts revenge from all those who have mistreated her for so long. 

THRILLER - A CRUEL PICTURE is a cult gem of exploitation cinema, released here entirely intact for the first time in America, with over 20 minutes of restored footage; the graphic sex and violence is offset by the look and pace of an arthouse film, making apparent the fact that director Arne Vibenius studied under Ingmar Bergman. Lindberg's character is the acknowledged inspiration of Quentin Tarantino's, who calls it "the roughest revenge movie ever made!"
