Stu plays Principal Erwin of Hamilton High School and does his best to raise daughters Joyce (Ann Todd) and Jackie (Sheila James). Along with handyman Willie (Willie Best), the Erwins discover that it's the little things in life that go from bad to worse.

Quarantine: Stu and his pals go all out in an attempt to bring the circus to a sick child.

A Very Rainy Day: Competition is fierce when a local radio station offers a cash prize for the best essay on "How I Spent My Rainy Day."

Quiet Place: Stu reserves a fancy hotel room when he and June escape the clamor of the Erwin home for a quiet weekend.

Jackie Finds A Cause: The entire town is in an uproar when a beloved playground attendant is forced into retirement by the city council.

Also broadcast under the title THE STU ERWIN SHOW, the situation comedy TROUBLE WITH FATHER ran on ABC for five seasons, from October 1950, through April 1955. Real-life husband and wife comedy team Stu Erwin and June Collyer starred as the two main characters, Stu and June Erwin - the principal of a local small-town high school, and his homemaker wife. Supporting characters included their daughters Jackie (Sheila James) and Joyce (Ann Todd) as well as local handyman Willie (Willie Best). Four episodes of the sitcom appear in this box set: QUARANTINE, A VERY RAINY DAY, QUIET PLACE and JACKIE FINDS A CAUSE.
