Blinded by his own wealth and power, Wall Street tycoon John Harden has abandoned the Christian values with which he was raised. Shaming his devoted wife, he is conducting a torrid affair with a young trollop interested only in his money. At a lavish dinner party he shocks everyone by declaring that God does not exist and challenging Him, "...strike me dead by midnight!" When the deadline passes, Harden declares himself the victorious master of his own destiny. But the hand of the Almighty rewards his blasphemy not with death, but far worse. Circumstances rapidly change, and John Harden finds himself penniless, abandoned, and alone, begging on the streets.

The Blasphemer features compelling performances from a unheralded cast. This very rare Religious Films Association Production exists to promote its' singular message, "Blessed be God's Holy Name for He has been merciful to me, a sinner."

This religious-themed silent melodrama traces the consequences that catch up to a man who builds a fortune, becomes a greedy tycoon, scorns his wife and family, has an affair with another woman and proclaims himself mightier than the Almighty Himself. Produced by the Religious Film Association.
