Princes Michael and Wenceslas are both in love with the singer Eva. When the old prince dies, they are staying at Eva's villa in Berlin. The banker Ravel, who wants to gain control of the principality's oil wells and, to this end, bring Wenceslas to power, quickly brings the prince back to the principality, where he immediately takes over the government and closes the border. Since Eva's troops are to be guests at the coronation celebrations, they manage to bring Prince Michael across the border unrecognized. However, the jealous Wenceslas catches him in Eva's room and arrests him, and Eva is also locked in her room.
