DESCRIPTION:

Modern-day cattle thieves stay one jump ahead of the law by meticulously timing their raids and communicating via short-wave radio. Assigned to capture the rustlers, frontier marshals Lee Powell, Bill "Cowboy Rambler" Boyd, and Art Davis meet opposition at every turn. While following a promising lead Bill and Art are captured and imprisoned, forcing Lee to abandon the investigation and put his life at risk in a desperate bid to attempt rescue them.

Made quickly and inexpensively, the six "Frontier Marshals" Westerns produced by PRC were released in 1942. Directed by workhorse, Sam Newfield, these modest horse operas derived their limited charm from the inspired teaming of action lead Powell (the screen's first Lone Ranger) with singing sidekicks Boyd and Davis. With musical interludes breaking up their non-stop parade of fights, chases, and shootouts, the Frontier Marshals films delivered ample entertainment to youthful Saturday matinee audiences.
