DESCRIPTION:

Follies Impressio James Kelly is taking his all-girl revue, "Kelly's Affairs of 1934" to perform in Paris. After a huge publicity stunt, he packs the dancers onto an ocean liner sailing for Europe. A shrewd showman, he tells the girls that they are under a strict contract and must avoid shipboard romance. Kelly, however, fails his own assignment when he falls for Princess Tania of Belgardia. Passing himself off as an American efficiency expert, Kelly trades the City of Lights for life in the bankrupt kingdom. While he woos Tania, Kelly saves the nation with a bit of show biz razzle-dazzle.

A delightful pre-code Monogram musical farce in the tradition of Rouben Mamoulian's Love Me Tonight (1932), King Kelly of the USA features a delightful score and special animated operetta sequence.

Bonus Short: Help Wanted, Female (1930): With her bratty son in tow, fierce old battle axe Mrs. Hemingway (Daphne Pollard) arrives at Dentist Foster's office for a job interview and takes on burglars instead! Stars Edgar Kennedy.
