DESCRIPTION:

Cattle baron "Win" Thompson hates "land-grabbin' sheep chasers" and means to drive them off the range - with force if needed. Thompson's sons, Ken and Wally, are competing for the hand of pretty Judy Winters, despite the fact that her father is a sheep herder. "Win" sends hired gun Butch Martin to drive the homesteaders, out and Judy's father is murdered. The brother's loyalties are twisted and stretched to the breaking point when their father, repentant for his crime, takes the orphan Judy into his home. The girl has no idea that her benefactor has caused her father's death.

Ken Maynard began his career as a circus and rodeo rider, eventually making his way to Hollywood. He found early success in a number of silent westerns, and made a smooth transition as the talkies gained prominence. Arguably the first singing cowboy on the silver screen, Maynard performed with an unpolished and authentic style. With his faithful horse Tarzan, he enjoyed a long, successful career in Westerns through the 20s, 30s and 40s, appearing in over 300 films.
In this superior 'B' western, Maynard and his brother try to stop a range war between their father and a sheepherder. When a woman comes between the brothers, they fight it out in a saloon.
