Quick Overview

6 classic shorts starring actress and WWII pin-up girl Betty Grable.

A QUIET FOURTH (1935)

A comedy short featuring Betty Grable who gets secretly married while her family is trying to fix her up with someone wealthy.

A NIGHT AT THE BILTMORE BOWL (1935)

The film is about some fun-loving young people who decide to have a scavenger hunt. The couples are sent to get some rather difficult things--including a band leader's baton and a policeman's badge. They then will meet at a nightclub where they will have dinner--and the loser pays.

THE SPIRIT OF 1976 (1935)

In the futuristic Utopian society of 1976, people, who have numbers instead of names, no longer have to work. They get tired of always playing, and revolt, eventually winning the right to work again.

FERRY-GO-ROUND (1934)

The adventures of a New York Ferry-boat Concert Party.

AIR TONIC (1933)

No plot summary available

OVER THE COUNTER (1932)

The staff at Drake's Department Store are exasperated because Mr. Drake, the store owner and president, has let his adult son Freddy run rampant at the store despite knowing that he is a trouble maker. Freddy has made some unilateral changes at the store, even without his father's knowledge. Some such changes are to replace many of the floor staff with a bevy of chorus girls, to convert the nursery into a nightclub, and to make bargain shopping a spectator sport. As such, Drake senior, a conservative man who believes in tradition, decides personally to investigate. Which Drake will win by making the other see the world of the store through his eyes?
