DESCRIPTION:

Movie star Gloria Jordan boosts her sagging career by dating young prizefighter on-the-rise, Joe Flynn. Blue-collar Joe falls hard for the glamorous actress who basks in the publicity while he slugs his way to the top. The night before middle-weight title fight, disaster strikes. Joe takes a knockout punch when he discovers that Gloria is only in for the media coverage, and is two-timing him with her director!

Wallace Ford is beautifully supported by silent star Marguerite de La Mote and former Zeigfield beauty Kitty Kelly in this 1934 Trem Carr production. British-born character actor Wallace Ford is best known for his roles in B-movies including The Mysterious Mr. Wong (1934), The Ape Man (1943) andShe Couldn't Say No (1954). In a busy career that would span over 200 films, he also appeared in some classic Hollywood productions most notably The Informer (1935), Of Mice And Men (1937),Spellbound (1945), Destry (1945) and A Patch Of Blue (1965).
