Disclaimer, Terms and Conditions

All titles on this site are considered to be in the public domain in accordance with the terms of the Berne Convention. The Berne Convention terms state that copyright protection lapses after a minimum of 50 years. If you believe a movie(s) offered on this site infringes upon an existing copyright please contact us with proof of ownership and we will remove the movie IMMEDIATELY. We are collectors, not retailers, and we offer this service to help classic movie fans build their collections. Fees cover cost of materials, film transfer times, postage and handling. We are NOT selling the movies, but we charge for our time to transfer the films, package them and send them to you. However, costs do vary based on the rarity of the movies. We do not knowingly provide copies of films that are commercially available. These movies are for private collectors and are not to be re-sold by dealers. No rights are given or implied.

Most of the films available on this site have fallen into the public domain and do not infringe on any intellectual property rights. Movies are sold on a collector to collector basis, no rights are given or implied.

What is LovingtheClassics.com?

Loving the Classics is a place dedicated to the love of classic movies. We have over
5,000 titles in our catalog. Everything from early silents to 70s cult films, we have it, and if we don’t we’ll try to get it.

Is there any packaging or artwork with your titles?

All movies come in cases with artwork, but the artwork displayed on our site may differ from the actual product.

Why don’t you have ...?

We only offer classic movies (pre-1980) that have not been commercially released and are in the public domain. We only sell public domain movies. Due
to the rarity of these movies please forgive any minor natural imperfections in the films themselves.

What is public domain?

A work has entered public domain because either the copyright has not been applied for or it has expired. Anything that is not protected under the copyright law can include works published between 1928 and under certain circumstances works published up to 1978. Re-published and re-packaged public domain information or creative works are not illegal. The reason is that because the work has fallen into the public domain there are no royalties to pay on the work.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship anywhere in the world.

How much is shipping?

Shipping costs vary depending on the number of titles ordered. You can preview shipping costs when you add items to the shopping cart.

Will your discs play in my DVD player?

These DVDs will play in virtually all newer DVD players. Our discs are region free and will play worldwide.

9. What is your refund policy?
Refunds are given for as per the terms of our LTC Guarantee within 60 days of purchase. Please note that these movies will show their age (i.e. low sound, slightly fuzzy picture, etc.) These are rare classics and in many cases have not been restored so they are going to have some imperfections.. Refunds are for the purchase price ONLY. We do not refund shipping charges. Please contact us prior to returning a movie.

We reserve the right to refuse service and/or cancel any orders for any reason at our discretion.

How long will it take to ship my titles?

If any of your titles are out of stock we will notify you by posting a note on your order, so please login to you account and check your Order Status on our site. Items on back order may not be available for shipment for 2-6 weeks. We reserve the right to hold the entire order if one or more titles is out of stock. Customers can request that we ship the available titles immediately and the backorder items at a later date, but by doing so you will incur additional shipping charges.
